The Challenge
Create a brand and website to facilitate the pledging of money, participation of volunteers, and the development of a caring community. For years, DurhamCares had been serving the Durham area by connecting the local residents with the local charities, and encouraging neighbors to reach out and lend a helping hand. Through this program, many people and organizations had been profoundly helped. When they came to Venveo they wanted a new identity and a new way of connecting people with their neighbors, pledging money and volunteering to lend a hand. This all needed to be accomplished virtually through the web, while streamlining the process and creating simplified overhead. The last piece they were searching for was the ability to create community through their website. They wanted to encourage people to come through the site more often, establish connections and then go out into the city and continue building community.
The Solution
With fresh designs that push the communal images to the forefront the new site now connects visitors to the organizations they are helping. By integrating a custom blog, pledge tracker, member's section and video montage, DurhamCares is able to provide a personal experience for each member of its new community.
